Finally, the group, now in possession of the ancient Elven artifact, return to The Filthy Whore, but before setting sail, Bawlzack decides to return to his icy cave beside the harbor, and Lenan stays there with him. They are introduced to 2 Gnom-elves named Tella and Fallon who agree to join the party.
The party sets sail with Katrina, Malkovia, Sylvia, Tella, Fallon, Bree, Meat, and Helion (who was on the boat). At the point in their journey the group was near Islellana, the humans have a jet fighter patrol spot the ship. Although Tella is able to down one jet with a lightning bolt and Fallon is able to stop one missile, the ship is eventually destroyed with the group having to dive into the waters for safety. Once again, Katrina’s armor makes her sink, but she is rescued by Fallon. They swim on debris to safety on the mainland after a couple hours, losing their vehicles and horses.
After moving inland and making camp, Jahli arrives looking to see if they survived the assault. He takes the artifact to the front lines of elves and dwarves who are now mounting a defensive front as the human invasion is imminent, but before he leaves he teaches the shape metal spell the artifact contains to Tella and Fallon.
Early the next day, Meat, Bree, and Helion head to the port city of Gilaroh to enlist in the fight against the humans. After some hunting, the rest of the group also heads there and are persuaded by Jahli to join a covert operation that plans to strike the head of the human brain trust after they begin their invasion.
We start off our adventure with each person in their own dwellings. After receiving a letter from each of their Courts to appear at the Blue Pony Inn, they all go to their respective vehicles and drive there. While on his way there, William barely misses a homeless person walking in the road.
After arriving at the Inn and a few quick drinks, the bartender directs them to the meeting room in back. There is a representative from each Court present, and they inform their members that they are a hand-selected group chosen to aid in the searching for a Summer Court member’s brother. The “child” missing, who is only a child by looks, not by age, had gone missing a few days prior. His name is John Smith, and is of a almost skeletal build with blue eyes, and white hair. His brother, who is a prominent figure in the Summer Court, remains in the hedge looking for him.
After leaving the bar, and hitting another hobo, they arrive at apartment 2A. Inside the find the place desolate; newspaper clippings strewn about, mirrors and lights broken in the bathroom, and a bit of cloth underneath the bed. William recognizes a symbol, but couldnt place it at that time. Miss Ginger notices claw marks on the wall leading out of the window, and upon further investigation, Anna and Ashley find a fingernail lodged in the brick outside.
They continue to William’s apartment to research the symbol and find it belongs to a Vampire cult, who’s name eludes me. At this point in the scene, it was time for the characters to eat, so they proceeded to the “Tainted Monkey” steakhouse. A few good meals, and a few bad meals, still didnt prevent our persuasive group from getting the dinner for free.
After learning of the Vampire building called the “Talon Club”, they decide to nab a few crosses first. They find a pawn shop across the street and William buys 2 small gold crosses, giving one to Anna. While walking 2 blocks down to St. Agatha’s, Miss Ginger is mugged. While she begins to talk him down, Ashley draws her gun on the mugger and the mugger fires at her. After a quick exchange of gunfire, the mugger lay dying on the sidewalk, and Ashley found herself in a heap of trouble. The rest of the group had already left and continued to St. Agatha’s, where, after sweet-talking a nun, had acquired a flask of holy water.
After being arrested, Ashley names her associates to Officer “Big” Johnson, and he proceeds to call the party in question. They group decides to go down to Precinct 31 and help out Ashley. Miss Ginger does most of the talking, as Officer B.J. could do nothing but gawk. Ashley was released into their custody, weaponless, and our group returned to their dwellings to sleep of the days happenings.
Due to my laziness, this will be a brief update of what’s taken place over the last three missions.
The group descended down into the mines of the Arctic while Meat stayed behind and tossed human remains into the blades of a helicopter. After working their way down, they fell into a trap and slid deep beneath the surface into a room filled with the remains of goblins. They were then trapped in the next room and seperated from Katrina. They defended well against an attack of Shadows, and found a funny mirror and Bree ate some Shadow blood.
They made their way down a hallway after camping and recouping, and eluded several traps including a flooding room, scores of snakes, falling beams, and collapsing floors. They leaped into the room at the end of the hallway evading death by a hair.
In this room, they were greeted by a few remaining goblins which they quickly dispensed and rescued Sylvia the halfing, now reunited with the group. The room had 3 doors, the one on the left was barricaded by the goblins to evade slaughter by the humans, the middle one led to the goblins source of water, and the right door had two goblins that were digging a new tunnel to escape the mines. The group quickly recruited the two goblins and named them Dig and Dug and had them continue digging. They then opened the left door and killed the last 2 humans in the mining camp.
This door led to a room where the humans appeared to be escavating for something. However, the group decides to continue and finds another way up and out of the mine. On the surface, they decide it’s best to leave and hijack a jeep and helicopter. Sylvia quickly learns how to use the helicopter with her keen engineering skills and the head back south. While riding in the passenger seat of the Jeep, Malkovia
discovers an ancient book under the seat with a bookmark which talks about an ancient artifact that can manipulate metal hidden in the frozen north. The group turns around, goes back to the mines, has Dig and Dug dig where the humans were, and find an ancient chest which they take with them.
And so we begin the creation of our fae, the creatures from within Arcadia. Our players find themselves molding their alter egos into the form of characters. Soon I will post brief snippets on our newly born fae.
Our fearless adventurer’s continued north across the snow in search of the humans who apparently are the cause of the disturbance in the Frozen North. They travel slowly through the thick snow, and set up camp the next night next to an icy cliff.
Meat takes first watch and falls asleep, only to be awoken by the lantern being tipped over by rat. He screams to wake up the party. and then deftly dispense the Winter Rat. Surprisingly, Lenan also awakes, apparently recovered from the Penguin stampede enough to wake up.
Malkovia takes second watch, and sees deep within the ice cliff, a 8 headed swamp Hydra frozen within. Just then, he sees beams of light roam across their encampment. He looks up to see four humans descending from the cliff on ropes. He sneaks into the penguin hide tent, and wakes up the group.
Katrina shoots through an opening of the tent, cutting the hand of one of the humans, making him fall and dangle upside down on a safety rope. A battle ensues and the group eventually knocks all the humans down and kills them. Meat, a little angry from a poor performance in battle, goes a little crazy and chops up the bodies with his cleaver.
They decide to take the humans’ gear and scale the wall and continue north. There is more ice than snow in this area and they are able to move quickly across the surface until they find a human camp. They attempt to sneak in through disguise and Katrina’s cloak of invisibility, but they see Malkovia in his penguin suit and decide to shoot it.
Katrina runs in and gets on a large gun on the back of a snow vehicle and starts shooting up tents, startling the two would be snipers. While she blows up tents, Lenan, Meat, and Malkovia kill off the 2 humans. After the battle, Lenan goes into the non-destroyed tent and has really good tea.
They find a shaft that has an elevator leading under the ice, and Malkovia heads down to scout it out. It leads down further under the ice cap, so he calls the rest of the group down and they prepare to explore.
In the latest adventures of the crew of the former Captain Zeefur, Meat piloted The Filthy Whore through frozen perils on the open seas avoiding ice burgs in the ever icier frozen north. They managed to dock safely in a bay, where, by incredible fortune, they were spotted by a Dwarf named Bawlzack who inexplicably was living in a cave by the bay. Fortunately for them, he had a dingy and rowed out to them, and rowed them to the northern shore safely to land. After greetings and insults that befit dwarves and elves, the group headed north to investigate the source of the disturbance that has been sending the cold weather creatures south.
First they encounter a polar bear who decided to snack on a sole, wandering human. They scared the bear away and steal the armless and quite dead human’s sniper rifle, ski boots, skis, and ski poles. They intend to chase the bear down, but find they are too slow for him in the deep snow. Instead, they decide to head further north up a ledge where they hear fowl sounds.
Up on the ledge in the distance, they see thousands of penguins. As they slowly approach, Bawlzack fires shots from his heavy cross bow occasionally, trying to get the drop and kill one. He eventually does hit one, but it only stuns the penguin, sending the horde into a frenzy, rushing south in the direction of the adventurers. Bree manages to bury himself in the deep snow and avoid getting hurt, but the rest of the party deals with the onslaught in differing ways, getting bludgeoned and trampled. Most of the group managed to avoid major pain one way or another, but Lenan was trampled unconscious and almost to death by the defiant flock.
They decided to camp and try to heal Lenan rather than moving him, so they took some dead penguins from the tirade and skinned them. Then Malkovia made a penguin skin shelter using the penguin skins, ski poles, and skis. They used penguin blubber as fuel for a fire, and survived the night. Lenan almost died, but they prevented his death with medicine, although he remains unconscious.  In the morning a human helicopter flied over head, but Malovia and Bree successfully disguised the camp to go unnoticed. The helicopter flew south, then returned north after a bit.
Lt. Commander Mirrors decides it is time to send the group back to Socorro once Jub Jub has healed in the Bacta Tank. Once again they hope to get more weapons from the business the group has setup, but she also asks them to see if they can find the Rebel scout who initially reported on the Socorro system since he has been missing since the report was file.
Their new astromech droid R2-Z9 proves to be far more effective at astrogation, and Saylin pilots the ship out of the Rebel base at Gesaril and into hyperspace without incident. R2 brings them out of the Inderdictor’s well at Travnin, and they quickly rejump for the return to Socorro. Along the way, nonsensical chaos ensues resulting in Jub Jub hunting for a mouse, the R2 having to fix the holochess board, Wookies eating, and Saylin listening to the 7 hour life story of their new protocol droid, Ti-69.
However, during Ti’s snooze fest history, Saylin is lead by what she believes is the spirit of Captain Jack O’Niel and discovers a hidden compartment in the smuggling compartments on the ship, where she finds, through interpretation by Ti, an old starchart detailing an ancient world with early interplanetary travel implications.
After the group arrives in the Socorro system, they decide instead to travel 8 weeks to where this star chart leads. They stop at Dantooine on the way, because it’s faster, and on the way, the Ewok Jub Jub decides not to let the Wookie win, resulting in Wachoowa accidentaly breaking the holochess board in half. So, while in Dantooine, they stop in a star port and purchase a new holochess, along with a link to the Intergalactic News Wire. Jub Jub also buys 1001 drink recipes for his datapad.
They head north in the Filthy Whore and first watch is uneventful, although it is much colder and dark now. On second watch 2 Giant sharks attack. One shark is dragged under by giant tentacles, the other one starts wreaking havoc. He jumps out of the water crushing the railing of the ship and landing on Scott. As he recedes into the water, Scott’s unconscious body falls into the water as well. Meat jumps off the ship to rescue Scott, and Lanen jumps onto the shark’s back and tries to stab him with the sword. The shark jumps again and swallows Katrina whole as she shoots him with her crossbow.
The shark then swims under the boat, knocking Lanen off his back on the side of the boat. Meanwhile, inside the shark, Katrina begins cutting up the shark with her daggers. Bree throws a piece of wood off the boat for Lanen, Scott, and Meat to grab onto and float on as Malkovia arrives on deck with a powder keg. Malkovia fuses the keg for an explosion ten feet below the bottom of the boat while Meat drags Scott to the wood and lanen makes it over as well. Bree tosses a rope to the ones in the water, and Meat pulls it into the water as it was not tied well. Malkovia drops the keg into the water on the other side of the boat, just as the shark trying to defeat the pain within him rams himself through the bottom of the boat getting himself suck. Bree does the same rope trick again, failing to rescue the guys in the water.
Katrina manages to kill the shark from withing, just before the explosive knocks the shark out of the bottom of the boat and damaging the boat that is a little lower than expected. Bree finally ties a rope correctly and Lenan climbs out of the water. Meat hauls Scott out of the water and up the rope with him, but on the deck, Lenan sees that Scott has died from hypothermia. Katrina manages to swim up through the whole in the boat while wearing her armor still, while the rest of the party that is still alive jumps into the cold water to look for Katrina. Lenan swims under the boat and sees the hole, swims up to it, and finds Katrina trying to patch the hole. Bree has to swim Malkovia to the rope as he has a hard time swimming, and they climb to safety. They all begin patching the ship and repair the damage and bilge the ship.
They put Scott on salt and correct their course continuing to the frozen north.
They decide to head towards the glimmering object in the distance. As they approach, Scott realizes that it is a human base burning some type of fuel to generate electricity. Most of the party heads off to where the smoke comes from, but Scott and Katrina head towards the entrance. Scott is seen approaching the front gate and is quickly apprehended, while Katrina follows invisibly.
On the other side of the base, the others avoid some guards, break the fence at the posts, crawl under, and enter the power plant after Malchovia picks the lock. They look around and kill one of the workers they find and bring another to the ground and gag him. When they try to interogate him, he freaks out, so they kill and loot him, much to Lanen’s chagrin.
Back in the garage, Captain Carter enters the holding area to inform Scott they are taking back for trial. Katrina fails to sneak in with the Capatin, but manages to get in as he leaves. They prepare to make Scott invisible with Katrina’s cloak to get the guards to come in.
Over on the other side Meat smashes equipment and bodies and sends a surge that blows out the lights in the entire base. They escape out the back door they came in and head to a storage shed where they steal some uniforms and light a box of MRE’s on fire. They head back out and around the left where they are spotted after the shed explodes and alerts a group of soldiers. They quickly pick a lock and get into a walk in freezer. After Meat freezes his tongue to a slab of frozen meat, they free him and head into the kitchen.
Back in the holding cell, the power outage reaches and Scott tries to blow through the door with an Uzi Katrina had. He doesn’t shoot so well, but Katrina sends a steady stream of bullets right through the door knob opening the door.  Four soldiers come in to check out the situation, and the two fight them down. Scott gets knocked out, and Katrina has to take down all four herself. She drags Scott out to a Jeep in the confusion and cloaks herself, then drives the Jeep out of the base, into town, into a bait shack, and backs onto the boat.
Meanwhile, the other four torch the kitchen and try to get out through the cafeteria. Â Â They are spotted at the hall entrance, but the explosion from the kitchen knocks them to the ground. Lenan drags the two halflings to safety amidst gun fire, and they jump out the blown out windows, cut through the fence, and head for the hills.
Katrina runs back towards the base and the others see her. They head back to the boat, cast off, and Lenan brings Scott back to consciousness.
